Protein Pizza

Protein pizza is a healthy and delicious way to satisfy your cravings for pizza without compromising on nutrition. With a generous amount of protein per serving and the ability to make it in under 30 minutes, it's the perfect meal solution for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • Flour: Self-rising flour or all-purpose flour with added baking powder and salt
  • Greek Yogurt: High-protein option, use non-fat version for dairy-free
  • Protein Powder: Unflavored protein powder can be used as a substitute for some of the flour
  • Pizza Sauce: Commercial or homemade
  • Mozzarella Cheese: Shredded or grated
  • Pepperoni or other toppings: Cooked ground meat or turkey, vegetables, cheese, etc.
  • Olive Oil: Brush on the crust before baking
  • Seasonings: Salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, mix together flour, yogurt, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Alternatively, combine flour with baking powder and salt to make self-rising flour. Knead dough until smooth and elastic.
  3. Roll dough out on parchment paper or floured surface to desired thickness.
  4. Add pizza sauce to center of crust, leaving rim for crust. Then add toppings and cheese.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes, slice, and enjoy.

Note: For a crisper crust, brush olive oil or non-stick cooking spray on baked crust before topping.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer until heated through.
