Cyst Versus Lipoma
A cyst is a sac, a pouch, or a fibrous envelope that encases either liquid, solid, or gas and is usually filled with a clear, sticky fluid. The fluid can be serous (containing serum), purulent (containing white blood cells), bloody, chyle (containing lymph), or cholesterol crystals. Cysts can develop anywhere on the body but are most commonly found in skin, testicles, and adrenals (the suprarenal glands).
