The team faced numerous challenges during the creation process, including failed prints and Injection molding attempts. However, after countless attempts, they were finally able to create a modern version that retained the nostalgia of the original while improving upon its functionality.

The modern Pop Ball is made of a different type of rubber with a lower Shore hardness, which provides a less satisfying pop than the original. However, the team was determined to make it work, and they discovered the perfect filament to use: Recreus Filaflex 60A TPU, an extremely elastic material that is difficult to print with but ultimately successful in their project.
