Gary Glitter
Gary Glitter, originally known as Paul Gadd, was one of the most popular glam rockers of the late 1970s and was once a huge pop star. He gained notoriety for his raunchy stage performances, including a highly explicit song titled "Glitter". In 1999, a computer he left at PC World was found to contain over 400 images of child pornography. He was subsequently charged with multiple counts of distributing child pornography and was sentenced to four years in prison in 2004. In 2015, after only serving a short time, he was released on parole for health reasons. However, his release was short-lived as he violated the conditions of his parole and was immediately reincarcerated for a further eight years.
