It is generally recommended to avoid consuming marijuana while taking amoxicillin, as it may increase the risk of certain side effects and decrease the effectiveness of the medication. While there have not been any reports of serious adverse events associated with the use of cannabis and amoxicillin, it is important to take extra caution before using marijuana with "macrolide antibiotics" such as erythromycin, clarithromycin, azithromycin, fidaxomicin, or telithromycin.
