talking view master

The Talking View-Master was a popular 1970s device that combined stereoscopic films with accompanying sound tracks to create an immersive entertainment experience. It consisted of a round speaker cone that amplified the vibrations from the sound track on the back of a transparent plastic record attached to the reel. This allowed for sound to be heard through the speakercone as the record was advanced, providing an adjustable sound quality that ranged from poor to fair. The Talking View-Master was introduced by GAF in 1970 as a standard-viewmaster that included stereoscopic images but also featured sound for every frame, adding an additional layer of immersion to the viewing experience.
