"I first learned about Young Life Campaigners when I joined the Young Life community as a high school student. Initially, I was puzzled by the term 'Campaigners.' I had no idea what it entailed or why it was mentioned so frequently among the staff. However, I soon discovered that Campaigners was a space where students could delve deeper into their faith journey and grow in their relationship with Christ."
The Role of Leaders
Successful Young Life Campaigners are led by experienced and dedicated volunteers who are passionate about discipleship. These leaders often consist of Young Life staff members, but also include alumni and community leaders who provide financial, administrative, and moral support to the LOCAL Young Life team. Leaders are trained to create an environment where students feel valued, respected, and known, which fosters a sense of community and belonging.
Incorporating the Bible into Daily Life
Central to the Young Life Approach is the incorporation of God's Word into everyday life. This is achieved through practical applications and activities that encourage students to reflect on biblical principles and apply them to their context. For example, during Campaigners, students may participate in discussions, devotionals, or even Bible study groups led by staff or trained volunteers.
