About Say No Bullying
Say No Bullying was founded in 2006 by Jody Jones, a parent consultant with the Utah Parent Center. Jones identified a need for resources and education in the fight against bullying, which had become a growing problem in public schools. With the launch of Say No Bullying, Jones and her team have worked tirelessly to develop and distribute resources that have been instrumental in reducing bullying behaviors among students across the country.
National Programs
Say No Bullying's national programs, including the Say NO Bullying logo and the annual Say NO Bullying Virtual Festival, are designed to engage students, parents, and educators in the fight against bullying. These programs provide tools and resources to help students learn how to recognize and address bullying behaviors, as well as ways to promote empathy and kindness within their schools and communities.
Impact of Say No Bullying
Studies have shown that Say No Bullying's programs have had a significant impact on reducing bullying behaviors among students. For example, a study published in the Journal of Educational Psychology found that students who participated in the Say No Bullying Virtual Festival had a significant decrease in reports of bullying compared to students who did not participate.
