Our History
The SRP was founded in 1985 at a conference on positive and negative symptoms in schizophrenia held in Ithaca, New York. This conference marked the beginning of a series of annual gatherings of schizophrenia researchers, resulting in the formation of the SRP in 1986. Since then, the SRP has grown to become one of the major scientific societies in the field of psychopathology, providing a platform for the sharing of ideas and research findings.
Governance
The SRP is governed by a board of directors composed of elected officers and members. The board acts as the decision-making body of the society, while the officers oversee the daily operations.
